Rockestra 2015

Over 11,000 patrons attended the Rockestra event held yesterday night at MFCC, Ta’ Qali, the President’s Office said. The event featured a number of local singers along with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, led by conductor Sigmund Mifsud.

President of the Republic Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca described the concert as an event which creates a “beautiful atmosphere and which serves as a platform for local talent while also helping those in need of the Malta Community Chest Fund, such as patients who have been diagnosed with cancer”.

This year’s Rocketsra edition included the participation of internationally acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Marc Storace.

The event was held under the artistic direction of Paul Borg Bonaci.
